Laser Hair Removal for Men

There are more treatments for men when it comes to the removal of unwanted hair than ever before. Laser hair removal has become one of the most popular forms of hair removal. Laser for men works by destroying unwanted hair follicles. This is especially useful for large areas like the back. Here’s a look at laser hair removal and what else is involved with it.

There are various different benefits that are in laser hair removal. For instance, there is a significantly lower level of skin irritation from laser hair removal for men than there is for other forms of hair removal. This will definitely be the case when skin cooling is used in conjunction with the procedure. Also, larger areas of the body, like the back, can be handled with laser hair removal. This is different from older methods like plucking.

Another of the main benefits of this type of hair removal for men is that it can be taken care of at almost all parts of the body. The areas around the eyes cannot be handled with lasers due to the danger that the laser will put the eyes in.

Electrolysis was a form of hair removal that was used by men, but laser hair removal is actually more comfortable and easier. This is because with electrolysis only individual hairs could be handled and a needle had to go into each follicle. Also, the electrolysis procedure of shocking the follicle to stop growing takes longer. What makes the laser removal process better is that the laser used will directly attack the growth apparatus in the follicle.

Laser hair removal also takes less time to do than other forms of hair removal for men. It can take a few minutes to a few hours depending on how large the area of treatment is. In some cases a man’s entire back can be handled in about an hour.

So, how does the laser hair removal process work? It works in a simple and comfortable manner. The physician will cleanse the area that will be worked on and check it to see that it is safe to handle. A laser hand piece will be used next as the energy in the laser will go through the skin into the melanin pigment in the follicle. The energy that the pigments collect from the laser will heat the follicle and destroy its growth apparatus.

The results of laser hair removal are also permanent. This means that instead of having to go about using creams or plucking over time the hair follicles will remain destroyed. This will especially be more effective when multiple treatments or appointments are taken.

Overall, laser hair removal is a great option to consider for a man with unwanted hair. Not only does it provide results but it is also easier to handle.
